my first proper season! tropical rouge is a fun, bright and wacky season that i will recommend to anyone because no joke it changed my life. its such a lovely watch, i love all the bright colors and summer theme, it was so comforting watching it EVEN THOUGH IT GOT SO SAD IN THE MIDDLE😭!!!!! manatsu and laura are my faves if you couldnt tell LOL....... 

i loved the theme of motivation and how its okay to just live in the moment, do whats best now! it was very inspiring to me on my first watch and still is as a young adult who doesnt really know what to do yet. manatsu is such a fun protagonist to follow and root for, i loved her energy and how she was unapologetically passionate and didnt care what others thought.

random but this season has such an amazing cast of antagonists! i love their dynamic, typical bad guy stuff but deep down they did look out for eachother, especially for elda ;__; the fact they all got a happy ending while that butler rotted in hell was everything to me. THE FACT THAT THEY HELPED THE PRETTY CURES TO FIGHT AGAINST HIM OHHH I WAS SCREAMING IT WAS SO GOOD i love when the bad guys team up with the good guys its so good.

although i love the whole team with my entire heart, sometimes i wonder if tropre would have benefitted from being a duo season with the amount of focus on manatsu and laura, or maybe even a trio to be a bit of a mediator between them at times lol. they are my two faves of the season so every time someone brings up the amount of focus on laura, my first thought is always "well i like laura!" i do agree laura stole the show a lot but i dont think it was tooooo bad. i think some of it was kind of necessary to expand more on laura's dreams of being queen and her internal struggles. BUT im not talking about laura totally jumping in to a random ass situation to be like "but remember me?" so i do think some of these episodes were kind of unnecessary. personally, i think the member who got robbed the most was sango, which makes me sad because i really love her personality and passions. TLDR i acknowledge the laura episodes kind of get in the way of everyone else but shes also my guilty pleasure LMAO

but yeah my personal gripe with the show is that laura was SO quick to turn human and we rarely saw her as a mermaid again even though she willingly could be? i kinda wished they leaned into that trope where mermaids can be human but if they turn human they get the tail again you know? like that whole episode where laura was avoiding the pool i was like "oh i get it she doesnt want to reveal her identity" BUT NO SHE JUST COULDNT SWIM AS HUMAN WHAT..? its not a huge deal but i really liked the silly hijinks that would ensue with laura trying to sneak around the school with the tail trying not to get caught LOL so what was the point. they made her BORING ok im being dramatic here haha

but its a good season and i will be rewatching it sometime soon ^_^ lots more i didnt really say because this is already quite long and i havent watched it in almost 2 years but i really love it 

It's so cute!! This was my first pretty cure so it holds a vert special place in my heart. I really like Laura and Asuka.

Manatsu Natsuumi is a first-year junior high school student born and raised on a small island.
