When something is made by Bhavesh Joshi fame Superhero director Vikramaditya Motwane, I expect a certain level of quality. And "Black Warrant" does exactly that. The show takes you inside Tihar Jail, not as a tourist attraction, but as a completely different world. It was so interesting and unique.

I had never seen the prison world in such a way and each episode showed different cases of the prisoners, and the internal politics and the problems and issues faced by the characters kept me completely interested and fully engaged. It depicts the brutality of prison life with utmost honesty. 

The monsters within those walls, both the prisoners and the jailers who deal with them, are portrayed with a raw realism that is both disturbing and fascinating. Drugs, prostitution, corruption it all comes to the fore. You see how power dynamics work, how those in power enjoy almost hotel-like comforts in prison while others face unimaginable hardships.
