Overall I found this one to be pretty average at best. A 3 star rating mainly because of the constant twists and turns, but not always even that wasn't entertaining enough for me to keep my hyped for the next episode. The pacing was an issue for me, and the sub plots didn't do much for the show as a whole, even though they end up make sense global wise. Last but not least, I think that it lacked emotion in several scenes, I mean, sometimes the characters are taking in or giving devastating information to others and the emotional response was flat.

Limited Series
Forgot to review this season as a whole after I finished it so here’s my thoughts on it. While it’s nothing really that unique when it comes to British Netflix shows, I must say it is pretty entertaining in this mystery of a husband and sisters death, trying to find out who did it which then leads down a big rabbit hole into dark secrets and corruption, no episodes are bad but there’s probably only 1 episode in the entire season i class as really good. Writing wise it’s decent but nothing to rave about, it’s typically a show that relies on its twists, while there’s a couple that are good, that you don’t see coming and do elevate the show, a lot of them are pretty predictable. Action wise is probably what keeps the show entertaining, there’s never really a dull moment throughout, I think what simply doesn’t make me rate Fool Me Once any higher is it takes no risks in its story telling, it keeps the same formula that 90 percent of British dramas/thrillers run with but I will say this Adeel Akhtar is a very underrated actor who carries this show with this heartfelt performance and Michelle Keegan is also stepping up her game massively in this. Overall a solid little show that’s worth watching if you have the time and a decent start to TV for 2024.
